AMALGEN DC UPS units are a compact, power supply and battery charger, all in one. The DC is produced by a fully regulated linear power supply that will look after the load and supply charge to the battery. Quality DC power and long battery life is maintained by a smart controller that also allows for a "bump-less" change over. When the AC power is off and the DC is from the batteries, the smart control protects the batteries from being over drained by the load, the DC is turned off before the batteries are drained to the point of damage. This protects the batteries so that they are ready for charging as soon as the AC power is returned. Two types are available, an Analog Monitored series and a Digital Monitored series. The Analog series has LED status showing, Charger OK, DC available, Battery Volts low, and Check Battery; it also has relay output that advises of Battery fault and Charger OK. The Digital models have LED status showing, DC OK and Battery fault. They also have an LCD that not only indicates status, but also has a Charge Voltage, Charge Current, Load Voltage and Load Current read out. Telemetry on this model is via "open collector" outputs, Differential Battery fault, DC OK, Battery Volts low and charger OK. The Digital Monitored series also has a communication port option. The 7000 Series has a standard range of units related to battery sizes with 4.5Ah, 7Ah, 17Ah and 40Ah available. Units are 240Vac input, 2 X12V batteries connected in series to give a nominal 24Vdc output (18Vdc.to 28Vdc.) Batteries are housed in their own "tamper proof" compartment and are fused for safety and easy removal. If a larger size or different Voltage is required AMALGEN can custom manufacture to your requirements. |
