Tycor PTY Filters

Tycor PTY Filters are designed for use at the incomming main switchboard and/or the first distribution board where a main or a sub main enters a building. These can be incorporated in the board or mounted very close to the board with leads kept as short, as possible. A very effective filtering system can be achieved with two PTY filters incorporated into the distribution network at each end of a sub main.

Transient Switch™ Provides an Additional Performance Boost - This option enhances PTY Suppression Performance and acts like a trap door dor surges that exceed 1 Volt above the peak operating voltage. Benefits include 50% less stress on MOVs; a five fold increase of MTBF and the lowest system let through voltage possible.

Surge Plane Technology - This specific TYCOR technology allows with careful matching of the MOVs for full utilisation of the MOV's surge capacity.

TVSS "TRI-Monitor"™ System

Monitors:

  1. 200 kAIC internal fusing system
  2. Infrared system detects failed components in
    any mode including N - G
  3. Thermal detection circuit guards against thermal runaway
